Net Insight develops high performance switching products based on DTM (Dynamic synchronous Transfer Mode) technology intended to handle Internet and other network traffic. These products offer significant capacity and quality improvements for voice, data and video traffic, as well as unique competitive advantages for increasing network capacity (i.e.,scalability).
Toshiba Electronics has developed an ASIC manufacturing process using established technology and dynamic memory together with very high-density storage (embedded DRAM). Toshiba is the world leader in this process. The technology uses CMOS with 0,25 mm line width and is very well suited to the solutions Net Insight develops.
The newly signed letter of intent is the first step in deepening Net Insight´s co-operation with Toshiba. The goal is work out the specifics of their co-operation before the end of September and then to reach a final agreement on the production of key component of Net Insight´s switches.
