In the tests, two of Net Insight´s DTM Access Devices Nimbra 101 were connected via a 1 Gbps DTM channel to Qeyton´s QS200 DWDM nodes in a 50 km circumference ring. The DTM channel was protected in the optical layer with Qeyton´s channel-by-channel fiber protection option. The working fiber path was then cut, and the switchover time determined from counting lost frames.
