-First Single Network To Transport VoD, 100+ channels of TV, Internet and Voice-

AMSTERDAM - September 12, 2003 - Net Insight (SX:NETI B), a leading provider of broadband infrastructure technology, will demonstrate a single network that for the first time delivers Video-on-Demand, together with more than hundreds of channels of broadcast TV, and Internet surfing on a single system at IBC 2003. Net Insight’s Video-Empowered Ethernet™ solution provides a network with maximum utilization with 100% QoS and multicast, effectively solving the problem of transporting these bandwidth hogging video services. With such efficiency, costs are lowered significantly for carriers allowing them to profitably deliver these services economically.
Net Insight will also demonstrate its studio quality, multicast transport platform for broadcasters, which maintains 100% QoS even as users disable fibers in the system. The Net Insight platform makes it possible to transmit data along with uncompressed video at 270Mbps assuring picture restoration in 50 milliseconds. Further, broadcasters can take advantage of real-time editing and production over the same network.

Net Insight’s demonstration is an example of networks that its customers have already deployed. Leading broadcasting companies and Telcos throughout Europe and the United States including West Deutscher Rundfunk, KPN, SAVVIS, ABC and MSNBC now use Net Insight solutions. Net Insight has the only video solution that can transport premium quality video, plus Internet and voice from broadcaster to the last mile.

“Net Insight will demonstrate that, with high efficiency video transport, broadcasters, Telcos, and cable companies now can deliver new revenue generating services such as video and games on demand, and other interactive programming”, said Tomas Duffy, CEO of Net Insight. “This demonstration takes the technology that we have deployed with leading broadcasters and Telcos to transport the key next generation video services over a single rich media network.”
