Digita, the Finnish operator of the national network for digital terrestrial television (DVB-T) is one of the worldwide pioneers within DVB-T and with vast know-how and experience from various DVB-T network solutions. Digita has now chosen Net Insight´s Nimbra platform to cover northern Finland. The network is operational since summer 2005.

DVB-T is a standard for distribution of digital terrestrial TV signals over-the-air via terrestrial antennas. DVB-T gives broadcasting companies the chance to broadcast up to four programs over a conventional channel. In addition, other information, such as radio programs and program-independent data services, can also be transmitted.
Net insights solution further optimizes the transport layer, both in terms of higher utilization and lower OPEX and CAPEX.
