| Successful Next Generation IP Media Networks |
Net Insight’s Nimbra platform is renowned for providing the market’s highest Quality of Service for IP media transport, including scalable IP multicast with millisecond protection times. Now, by adding end-to-end performance monitoring capabilities on all IP/Ethernet channels, this can also be verified to end-users and customers without adding costly external equipment.
By introducing new unique channelized IP trunk modules in all Nimbra platforms, Net Insight has taken IP media networks to the next level. This allows the Nimbra platform to operate over cost-efficient IP links, in combination with SDH/SONET, WDM and microwave links, ensuring highest quality with maintained protection and end-to-end management capabilities.
Thus, the Nimbra platform enables ONE unified media network, independent of underlying infrastructure, with maintained content integrity, reliability and control. The Channelized IP trunk performs true resource reservation across an existing IP network, allowing service separation, improved QoS, manageability and content integrity.

Introducing the Nimbra 130. This state-of-the-art JPEG2000 codec features the capability to encode HD/SD-SDI inputs into either an IP or ASI output for bandwidth efficient transport over the Nimbra network.
To ensure the highest quality for broadcast applications, Net Insight's Nimbra 130 encodes on a frame-by-frame basis. This makes it ideal for real time broadcast contribution, especially in live two-way interviewing environments where low latency encoding and decoding are absolutely necessary.
